Accepted payments: BLIK, card, Apple Pay, Google PayA fan-shaped fruiting body banded in concentric colours from cream through brown to deep navy, hard and almost odourless when dry, with a slightly bitter, earthy taste. It grows in layers on dead hardwood, in temperate forests from Europe to the Far East. It is one of the most widely distributed fungi in the world.
How to use
Powder form: 1–2 teaspoons a day (the scoop is in the package). The 10:1 extract is potent, so start with a smaller serving and see how it suits you; increase as described on the label if needed. Dissolve in warm (not boiling) water, tea, coffee or cacao, or add to a smoothie. Coriolus’s earthy, lightly bitter profile pairs well with cacao and warming spices.
For prevention, 1-2 teaspoons of the extract 3-4x a week is enough.
A basic cycle lasts about 90 days, in Eastern tradition, that is how much time you give yourself to observe any new practice. After a full cycle you can assess whether the ritual fits your routine, and optionally reduce the serving. Consistency matters most, it is an everyday addition, not a one-off “shot”.
Coriolus keeps a neutral rhythm through the day: you can add it to a morning infusion or fold it into an afternoon ritual, depending on what fits your schedule. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving.
Coriolus (Trametes versicolor) is known in the West as “Turkey Tail”: a colourful, fan-shaped fruiting body that grows in layers on dead wood.
For us it is a 10:1 extract: earthy, lightly bitter, carrying the OCHRONA signature.
We promise no effects. We give you a clean, chemically well-described raw material and the context to decide for yourself how to use it.

I reach for it when I want to round off a daily ritual with an extract whose chemistry is particularly well described, earthy and lightly bitter. The time of day is up to you, so in the clinic I give it to those who like a calm, repeatable practice without being tied to a particular hour.

Who it is for
Coriolus with its OCHRONA signature was designed for people who value a raw material with a transparent, well-described composition. It is most often chosen by people who:
- are building a daily ritual with a mushroom extract and prefer an earthy, lightly bitter profile over sweet supplements;
- value raw materials with particularly well-documented chemistry · PSK, PSP and β-glucans are among the best-described fractions in the mushroom world;
- complement a varied diet with a functional-mushroom extract and care about a transparent, batch-tested composition;
- enjoy the Far-Eastern cultural context and the story of the “cloud mushroom” as part of a deliberate, everyday ritual.

Ingredients
Ingredients: 90 vegan capsules, each containing 0.5 g of organic Coriolus extract (Trametes versicolor, DER 10:1, standardised to a minimum of 30% beta-glucans). Concentration: 10:1. Capsule shell: HPMC (plant-derived). No fillers, no maltodextrin, no magnesium stearate. 100% vegan.
Research
Coriolus is among the most thoroughly characterised functional mushrooms in chemical terms. Its molecules have been described in the raw-material literature more intensively than those of many other species. A review published in “Materials” (2021) gathered data on the compounds present in the Trametes versicolor fruiting body and their architecture, treating this mushroom above all as a rich, well-documented source of bioactive substances at the chemical level.
Two families of molecules draw most of the attention from researchers of the raw material. The first are the polysaccharopeptides, complex structures in which a sugar chain is bound to a peptide part; in the literature they are described chiefly as PSK, also known as krestin, and as PSP.
The second are the β-glucans, polysaccharides with a characteristic chain and branching pattern. These compounds are among the best chemically described fractions in the entire mushroom world: their molecular weight, the way sugars are joined to peptides, and the conformation of the chain have all been documented, which makes coriolus a rewarding subject for studies of the material’s structure itself.
Let us be honest: these are studies of the raw material and its molecules, most often conducted in the laboratory, not of our supplement. They do not show that coriolus is a medicine or that it resolves any health problem on its own; they show what this mushroom is at the chemical level, how its PSK, PSP and β-glucans are built.
The fact that the composition can be described so precisely is, for us, a reason to care about the quality and consistency of the extract, not a basis for health promises. Bibliographic data: PubMed.
Producer
We work only with the fruiting body (not mycelium) of coriolus, in a 10:1 extract. Standardised to a minimum of 30% beta-glucans, raw material carrying the EUROFINS laboratory-group quality mark, every batch tested for, among other things, heavy metals and pesticide residues.
What sets us apart
Fruiting-body extract, not mycelium on grain
Many cheap “mushroom” products are in fact mycelium grown on rice or oats, with a high content of starch from the substrate. We work with a 10:1 extract from the coriolus fruiting body, where what counts are the well-described fractions (PSK, PSP and β-glucans), not filler from the growing medium.
Organic raw material, batch-tested
Our supplier is a specialised producer with many years of experience; the raw material carries the EUROFINS laboratory-group quality mark, and every batch is tested for, among other things, heavy metals and pesticide residues against criteria stricter than those required by law.
Transparency instead of promises
We do not chase flashy slogans about what the mushroom “does”. We show the composition, the process and the origin, including the fact that coriolus’s chemistry is exceptionally well documented, and leave the conclusions to you.
Storage
In a tightly closed package, in a dry, cool and dark place, away from direct light. Protect from moisture. Keep away from children. Shelf life 24 months from opening.
Precautions
Consult your doctor before use if you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines, immunosuppressive or antidiabetic medicines, have an autoimmune disease in an active phase, or are planning surgery or a dental procedure (stop the product at least 14 days beforehand). The product is not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or people under 18. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving; a food supplement must not replace a varied diet.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Classification in TCM
In Chinese medicine coriolus is called Yun Zhi (云芝), the “cloud mushroom”, a name that nods to the wavy, shimmering bands across the surface of the fruiting body, reminiscent of clouds in the sky. In the Chinese-Japanese tradition this fan-shaped mushroom growing on wood was known and valued for centuries, and its colourful, concentrically banded cap made it one of the most easily recognised mushrooms of the Far East, hence also the vivid Western name “Turkey Tail”. In TCM classification Yun Zhi was traditionally described through the lens of taste and nature and its assigned meridians, in line with the logic of that system. This is the tradition that Mateusz, the founder of Aloha Fungi and a Doctor of Acupuncture (WFAS), works with day to day.
Treat this purely as cultural context, not as a scientific claim or a promise of any effect. TCM is a system of thought from centuries ago, reaching far beyond today’s understanding of physiology, and not a description of what a given raw material “does” in the body. We draw on this tradition because it is part of coriolus’s story and explains where its names and its place in Far-Eastern culture come from, not because it replaces modern knowledge. The name “cloud mushroom” is a poetic image from old texts, not a declaration of properties, and that is exactly how we ask you to read it.

90-day ritual
Three stages of one cycle
- 1
First days
Once a day, at any time, on an empty stomach or 30 minutes before a meal: 3 capsules (about 1.5 g of extract) or 1-2 teaspoons of powder. Coriolus becomes a fixed point in your day.
- 2
First weeks
You reach for it on autopilot, folded into a morning infusion or an afternoon ritual. What matters most is repeatability, not a particular hour.
- 3
A 90-day cycle
A full ninety days. In Eastern tradition, this is how much time you give yourself to observe any protocol or practice.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What does coriolus do? Will it help me?
We will not answer “what it does”, because coriolus is a food supplement, not a medicine. Promising an effect on specific diseases or bodily functions would be against the law. What we can honestly say is what coriolus is: an earthy, lightly bitter fruiting-body extract with an exceptionally well-described composition (PSK, PSP, β-glucans), present in Far-Eastern culture for centuries as the “cloud mushroom”. What you make of that is up to you.
Where do the names “Turkey Tail” and “cloud mushroom” come from?
Both names describe the look of the fruiting body. Coriolus grows on wood in fan-shaped, concentrically banded layers in varying shades, and those shimmering, wavy bands resemble, on one hand, the feathers of a turkey’s tail (hence the Western name Turkey Tail) and, on the other, clouds in the sky, to which the Chinese Yun Zhi, the “cloud mushroom”, refers. These are vivid, cultural names about form and colour, not declarations of any properties.
How does the LONGEVITY line differ from PRIME?
LONGEVITY is the everyday, value line, a gentle entry into functional mushrooms, meant as a steady part of your diet. PRIME is a stronger, more concentrated variant for those who want a more intensive extract within a deliberate protocol. Both are built on the same raw material and the same care for quality; they differ in concentration and positioning. If you are just starting, choose LONGEVITY.
Capsules, powders, drops, which to choose?
At Aloha Fungi we offer 3 forms of extract: powder, capsules and drops. The extract in powder and in capsules is the same. Capsules are vegan, the most convenient, but the least economical (the product weight is 20% lower than in the powder at the same price). Some of our clients have used both the powder and the drops; roughly half preferred the drops and half the powder. Choose the form that best fits your routine.
Can mushrooms be combined with one another?
Yes. Mushrooms can be combined, each has its own time of day, e.g. Cordyceps in the morning, Reishi in the evening. That is why we sell them separately, so you can build your own plan. You can start with a single mushroom; we recommend 2-3 at once. Even one mushroom in your daily routine is better than none. Not sure which to choose? Take advantage of a free consultation.
How long is a full cycle?
A basic cycle lasts about 90 days, in Eastern tradition, that is how much time you give yourself to observe any new practice. After a full cycle you can assess whether the ritual fits your routine, and optionally reduce the serving. For prevention it is enough to take: 1-2 capsules a day 3-4x a week; 20 drops of tincture 3-4x a week; or 1-2 teaspoons of powder 3-4x a week. Consistency matters most.
What do functional mushrooms contain?
Functional mushrooms are raw materials with a rich, well-documented composition: polysaccharides (including beta-glucans), phenolic compounds, terpenes, vitamins and bioelements. The fact that the composition can be described so precisely is, for us, a reason to care about the quality and consistency of the extract, not a basis for promises. We show what is in the raw material, the conclusions are yours to draw.
How long does it take to evaluate a ritual?
We do not have a crystal ball. A ritual with mushrooms is a long-term practice, not a one-off shot. In Eastern tradition the 90-day cycle is spoken of as the time in which you can first assess whether a given practice fits your routine. Some people feel good after just a few days, others need more time. Consistency matters most. Give yourself time and observe how your body responds.
A food supplement does not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. This product is not a medicinal product. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. Not for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or by children. If in doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
