Accepted payments: BLIK, card, Apple Pay, Google PayA gelatinous, dark-brown fruiting body with an ear-like shape and a mild, faintly sweet taste, known in Asian cooking for centuries as the mun mushroom. It grows on the trunks and branches of hardwood trees, in shade and humidity, pressed to the wood like an ear laid against bark. The more water it absorbs, the springier and fuller its fruiting body becomes.
How to use
Capsule form: the package contains 90 vegan capsules, each holding 0.35 g of organic Auricularia 10:1 extract. As a preventive serving, take 3 capsules a day. As a therapeutic serving, 6 capsules or as advised by your therapist.
Capsules are best taken on an empty stomach or with a gap around meals, about 30 minutes before eating or 60 minutes after. You can split the daily serving in two, for instance in the morning and the early afternoon; there is no single strict rule about the time of day. Choose a moment that fits easily into your routine and stick with it.
A dosing rhythm from Eastern tradition: for prevention, 1–2 capsules a day 3–4 times a week is enough (or, in other forms, 20 drops of tincture, or 1–2 teaspoons of powder, 3–4 times a week). For an intensive course, you take the full daily serving every day. After 90 days you can reduce the serving if the ritual has already settled into your routine.
The basic course lasts about 90 days. In Eastern tradition, that is how much time you give yourself to observe any new practice. Consistency matters most: it is an everyday addition, not a one-off “shot”. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving, and treat the capsules as a complement to a varied diet, not a replacement for it.
Auricularia (Auricularia auricula-judae) is the mushroom known in Poland as the “mun mushroom” and, by its older name, as “wood ear” or “Judas’s ear”: a jelly-like, dark, ear-shaped fruiting body that grows on wood. In Chinese cooking it has been an ingredient for centuries. For us it is an organic 10:1 extract sealed in a vegan capsule. We promise no effects; we give you a clean, well-described raw material and the context to decide for yourself how to use it.

From Mateusz's clinic
Auricularia is my everyday mushroom, in the convenient form of a capsule. I take three in the morning, washed down with water, with no brewing or measuring. I know the jelly-like mun mushroom from the Asian table; here I keep it on hand as a concentrated fruiting-body extract. In the clinic I reach for it when someone prefers a simple, repeatable routine over a daily infusion.
Ingredients
Organic extract from the Auricularia fruiting body (Auricularia auricula-judae) at a 10:1 ratio, 0.35 g per capsule. Capsule shell: plant-derived. Pack: 90 vegan capsules. No fillers, no maltodextrin, no magnesium stearate, 100% vegan.
Storage
In a tightly closed package, in a dry, cool and dark place, away from direct light. Protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life is 24 months from opening.
Precautions
Shake before use. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. The product is not intended for children or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. A food supplement does not replace a varied and balanced diet. If in doubt, consult a doctor or therapist to choose the dose best suited to you.
Research
Auricularia is among the mushrooms most thoroughly described in chemical and structural terms. The fruiting body owes its jelly-like, springy texture to a high content of polysaccharides and soluble fibre, and it is precisely these fractions that draw most of the attention from researchers of the raw material. A review published in the “International Journal of Biological Macromolecules” (2024) gathered and organised the knowledge of the structural properties of Auricularia auricula polysaccharides: their architecture, molecular weight and the way the sugar chains arrange themselves in space.
Producer
We work with the fruiting body (not mycelium) of auricularia. Organic raw material carrying the EUROFINS laboratory-group quality mark, with every batch tested for, among other things, heavy metals and pesticide residues against criteria stricter than those required by law.
Who it is for
Auricularia in the LONGEVITY line was designed for a simple, everyday rhythm and the convenience of a capsule. It is most often chosen by people who:
- prefer a convenient capsule to powder and value a repeatable, measured serving without brewing an infusion;
- know the mun mushroom from Asian cooking and want to keep it on hand as a concentrated extract;
- complement a varied diet with a functional-mushroom extract and value a transparent, short ingredient list;
- are starting out with functional mushrooms and prefer a gentle, everyday line over an intensive protocol.
What sets us apart
Fruiting-body extract, not mycelium on grain
Many cheap “mushroom” products are in fact mycelium grown on rice or oats, with a high content of starch from the substrate. We work with an organic 10:1 extract from the auricularia fruiting body, sealed in a vegan capsule.
Organic raw material, batch-tested
Our supplier is a specialised producer with many years of experience; the raw material carries the EUROFINS laboratory-group quality mark, and every batch is tested for, among other things, heavy metals and pesticide residues against criteria stricter than those required by law.
Transparency instead of promises
We do not chase flashy slogans about what the mushroom “does”. We show the composition, the process and the origin, a short ingredient list and a clear extract ratio, and leave the conclusions to you.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Classification in TCM
In Chinese tradition auricularia is called Mu Er (木耳), literally “tree ear”, after the distinctive, ear-shaped fruiting body that grows on the trunks and branches of broadleaf trees. It is one of the oldest and most recognisable mushrooms of Far-Eastern cooking and herbal lore; it appears in the classic materia medica records as a mild, widely used ingredient rather than a rare or “imperial” one. In the TCM system of tastes and natures it was usually described as neutral in nature and mild, faintly sweet in taste, associated with the idea of fluidity and unobstructed movement within the body as it was understood in older terms. Its jelly-like, slippery texture was traditionally valued and, in old thinking, linked to moistening and softness; hence our PRZEPŁYW signature, a cultural reference rather than a description of any effect. This is the tradition that Mateusz, the founder of Aloha Fungi and a Doctor of Acupuncture (WFAS), works with day to day.
Treat this purely as cultural context, not as a scientific claim or a promise of any effect. TCM is a system of thought from millennia ago, using its own metaphorical language, not a description of physiology as we understand it today. Notions such as “flow” or “fluidity” belong to that older narrative and do not refer to any specific process in the body or to any organ. We draw on this tradition because it is part of the centuries-long story of the mun mushroom, not because it replaces modern knowledge or justifies any health promise.

90-day ritual
Three stages of one cycle
- 1
First days
You take 3 capsules in the morning, washed down with a glass of water, on an empty stomach or with a gap from meals. Auricularia becomes a fixed point in your morning routine.
- 2
First weeks
You reach for the capsules on autopilot, without a reminder. A convenient, measured serving settles into your daily rhythm, with no brewing or measuring.
- 3
A 90-day cycle
That is how long the tradition gives you to observe any protocol or practice.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What does auricularia do? Will it help me?
We will not answer “what it does”, because auricularia is a food supplement, not a medicine. Promising an effect on specific diseases or bodily functions would be against the law. What we can honestly say is what auricularia is: an organic fruiting-body extract of the mun mushroom with a well-described composition, present in Far-Eastern cooking and tradition for centuries. What you make of that is up to you.
How should I take the capsules, and how many a day?
The recommended serving is 3 capsules a day, taken with water. They are best taken on an empty stomach or with a gap around meals, about 30 minutes before eating or 60 minutes after. You can split the daily serving across two moments in the day. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving, and go by whatever fits most easily into your routine.
How does the LONGEVITY line differ from PRIME?
LONGEVITY is the everyday, value line: a gentle entry into functional mushrooms, meant as a steady part of your diet. PRIME is a stronger, more concentrated variant for those who want a more intensive extract within a deliberate protocol. Both are built on the same raw material and the same care for quality; they differ in concentration and positioning. If you are just starting, choose LONGEVITY.
Capsules, powders, drops, which to choose?
At Aloha Fungi we offer 3 forms of extract: powder, capsules and drops. The extract in powder and in capsules is the same. Capsules are vegan, the most convenient, but the least economical (the product weight is 20% lower than in the powder at the same price). Some of our clients have used both the powder and the drops; roughly half preferred the drops and half the powder. Choose the form that best fits your routine.
Can mushrooms be combined with one another?
Yes. Mushrooms can be combined, each has its own time of day, e.g. Cordyceps in the morning, Reishi in the evening. That is why we sell them separately, so you can build your own plan. You can start with a single mushroom; we recommend 2-3 at once. Even one mushroom in your daily routine is better than none. Not sure which to choose? Take advantage of a free consultation.
How long is a full cycle?
A basic cycle lasts about 90 days, in Eastern tradition, that is how much time you give yourself to observe any new practice. After a full cycle you can assess whether the ritual fits your routine, and optionally reduce the serving. For prevention it is enough to take: 1-2 capsules a day 3-4x a week; 20 drops of tincture 3-4x a week; or 1-2 teaspoons of powder 3-4x a week. Consistency matters most.
What do functional mushrooms contain?
Functional mushrooms are raw materials with a rich, well-documented composition: polysaccharides (including beta-glucans), phenolic compounds, terpenes, vitamins and bioelements. The fact that the composition can be described so precisely is, for us, a reason to care about the quality and consistency of the extract, not a basis for promises. We show what is in the raw material, the conclusions are yours to draw.
How long does it take to evaluate a ritual?
We do not have a crystal ball. A ritual with mushrooms is a long-term practice, not a one-off shot. In Eastern tradition the 90-day cycle is spoken of as the time in which you can first assess whether a given practice fits your routine. Some people feel good after just a few days, others need more time. Consistency matters most. Give yourself time and observe how your body responds.
A food supplement does not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. This product is not a medicinal product. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. Not for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or by children. If in doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
