Auricularia guide

Version 1.0 · Updated: 21 June 2026 · Subject-matter reviewer: Mateusz Rosa, founder of Aloha Fungi, TCM therapist, Doctor of Acupuncture (WFAS), author of books on functional mushroom supplementation.

  • Auricularia, in Polish uszak, in English the wood ear, is a functional mushroom. At Aloha Fungi it appears in the LONGEVITY line under the „Circulation" focus.
  • Our raw material: a concentrated Auricularia fruiting-body extract at a 10:1 ratio, from a tested and standardised batch.
  • Composition per capsule: 0.35 g of organic Auricularia extract and 20 mg of acerola extract, in a vegan shell. Pack size: 90 capsules.
  • Use as stated by the producer: as prevention 3 capsules a day, therapeutically 6 capsules or as advised by a therapist. On an empty stomach, or at least 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal.
  • In the Eastern tradition there is a „law of 90 days": a lasting effect is observed only after roughly 90 days of regular use, not immediately.
  • It is a dietary supplement, not a medicine. The product is not intended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.

What Auricularia is and the form we offer

Auricularia (in Polish uszak, in English the wood ear) is a functional mushroom. At Aloha Fungi it appears in the LONGEVITY line and is labelled with the „Circulation" focus, which reflects how we match mushrooms to a user’s goal.

We work with the fruiting body, not mycelium on grain. Our raw material is a concentrated Auricularia fruiting-body extract at a 10:1 ratio, from a tested batch with standardised content. The form is vegan capsules and the pack contains 90 of them.

Composition of one capsule

Each capsule contains 0.35 grams of organic Auricularia extract at a 10:1 ratio and 20 mg of acerola extract. The shell is vegan.

Acerola is a natural source of vitamin C and acts as an additional ingredient in the formula, alongside the main fruiting-body extract.

Bioactive substances of functional mushrooms

The effects of functional mushrooms depend on the amount of bioactive substances such as polysaccharides, phenolic and indole compounds, terpenes, vitamins and numerous bioelements.

This is a general description of the profile of functional mushrooms from our materials, not a declaration of a specific action of a single extract. Individual needs are best discussed during a consultation.

What Auricularia does not do

Auricularia is a dietary supplement, not a medicine. It does not cure or prevent circulatory diseases or any other diseases, and the „Circulation" focus in the product name is a way of organising the range, not a therapeutic promise. It does not replace a varied and balanced diet or a medical consultation. Nor does it work instantly: in line with the „law of 90 days", an observable effect builds over weeks and months, not hours.

How to take Auricularia: the protocol

Serving

As stated by the producer: as prevention 3 capsules a day, therapeutically 6 capsules or as advised by a therapist.

Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. To match a serving to yourself, use the free online consultation.

Timing and how to take it

Take on an empty stomach, or at least 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal.

A dietary supplement does not replace a varied and balanced diet.

For how long, the „law of 90 days"

In Traditional Chinese Medicine there is a „law of 90 days". In short: what we do today acts over the following days, but a lasting effect is observed only after roughly 90 days of regular use.

This is an argument for regularity and patience. Nature does not act at once, and the wood ear is a classic example of a mushroom where regularity yields observation and occasional use does not.

Auricularia and the Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective

In Traditional Chinese Medicine there is a „law of 90 days": whatever we do today acts over the following days, but a lasting effect is visible only after roughly 90 days. This is why functional mushrooms are used in cycles rather than occasionally.

This is a frame of cultural observation, not a medical diagnosis. Concepts from the Eastern tradition do not correspond one to one with Western anatomy or physiology.
