Withania somnifera root · 30 ml drops
In stock
100% fruiting body · 10:1 extract · Every batch lab-tested
A hard, light-brown root with an earthy smell, known in Ayurvedic tradition as Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera). From the mature root we make a concentrated 10:1 extract and seal it in drops, ready to add to water, tea or a morning drink.
You can drop the serving under your tongue and hold it there for about a minute before swallowing, as with other herbal extracts in drop form. You can also simply add the drops to water, tea, coffee, cacao, matcha, juice, a smoothie or food.
Basic serving: 0.5 ml (10 drops) a day. Based on personal preference, some customers increase to 20 drops a day. The package label also lists a more intensive option of up to 40 drops (2 ml) a day. Choosing a serving within this range is up to you and the label information, not our promise of an effect.
Do not exceed the serving recommended on the package label. A food supplement does not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle.
A hard, light-brown root with a characteristic, earthy smell. Withania somnifera, known in Sanskrit as Ashwagandha ("the smell of a horse", referring to the scent of the fresh root), grows in the dry climate of India and the Middle East, in the nightshade family, the same one as the tomato and the pepper. In classical Ayurveda it is classed among the Rasayana herbs, used seasonally in daily practice for thousands of years.
We take the mature root, make a 10:1 extract from it (10 kg of raw material to 1 kg of extract) and seal it in a bottle of drops, ready to add to water, tea or a morning drink. We will not tell you here what Ashwagandha "does". Supplement law does not allow it.
We write honestly about tradition, composition and how to use it. The rest is for you to judge, in your own ritual.

Have a question? Message me.
Ashwagandha is not a functional mushroom and it is not part of the tradition I practise as a therapist (TCM).
I keep it in the range because it is one of the best-described roots in Ayurvedic tradition, and customers asked about it directly. Honestly: I will not tell you what you will feel. I will tell you what is inside and where it comes from, and the rest is for you to judge, by adding a few drops to your morning ritual. Mateusz Rosa, TCM therapist, Doctor of Acupuncture (WFAS).

Ashwagandha drops are for people who:
Ashwagandha root extract (Withania somnifera, DER 10:1), an amount equivalent to 20,000 mg of raw material per bottle, water, food-grade ethanol at a concentration of no more than 22%. 30 ml package with a dropper.
The root of Withania somnifera contains a group of compounds called withanolides: steroidal lactones with an elaborate structure, together with withanosides and alkaloids. A review published in "Molecules" (2023) described dozens of major metabolites across the genus Withania, mostly steroidal compounds and alkaloids concentrated in the root and leaves. These are what give the root its characteristic, bitter-earthy profile.
Standardising a root extract requires analytical methods that separate and measure individual withanolides in the mixture. A study published in the "Journal of AOAC International" (2018) describes an HPLC method for identifying and quantifying three major withanolides (withaferin A, 12-deoxywithastramonolide and withanolide A) in root extracts and in marketed herbal preparations, together with a comparison of extraction solvents.
The citations below concern chemical compounds in the root of Withania somnifera as a plant raw material, described in the analytical and review literature. These are not studies of our product or of its effect on people. Our extract is a 10:1 DER from the root, dissolved in water with a small addition of food-grade ethanol as a natural preservative for the extract.
Ashwagandha is made from the root of Withania somnifera. ALOHA WEALTH AND WELLNESS Sp. z o.o., Warsaw. The product is registered with the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate in accordance with Polish food law.
Ten kilograms of Withania somnifera root yield one kilogram of extract. The 30 ml bottle contains an amount equivalent to 20,000 mg of raw material. This is a concentrated form, not a diluted root powder.
The most valuable parts of the Ashwagandha root, water and food-grade ethanol at a concentration of no more than 22%, acting as a natural carrier and preservative for the extract. No synthetic colours or flavourings.
The dropper lets you tailor the serving within the range on the label, instead of sticking to one fixed capsule dose. You can add the drops to any warm or cold drink.
Store tightly closed, in a dry and dark place, away from heat sources and children. Use within 24 months of opening.
The product is not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or people under 18. It contains a small amount of ethanol: be cautious if you consciously avoid alcohol. Consult your doctor if you take prescription medicines, especially sedatives, sleep aids or thyroid medication. Do not exceed the suggested serving on the label.
Cultural heritage
The description below presents Ashwagandha in the context of Ayurvedic tradition (Ayurveda, the classical medical system of India), not traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which is the tradition we work with for our functional mushrooms. This is a different raw material, a different continent, a different system of concepts. Treat this section as cultural and historical context, not a scientific claim and not a promise of a health effect.
The name Ashwagandha comes from Sanskrit: ashva (horse) and gandha (smell), and refers literally to the smell of the freshly grated root. In classical Ayurvedic texts, including the Charaka Samhita, the root of Withania somnifera is classed among the Rasayana herbs: raw materials traditionally used seasonally, as part of a daily, long-term practice rather than an occasional one. This classification is more than two thousand years old and is an ethnobotanical fact, not a forecast of what you will feel after the drops.
An honest boundary matters more here than a colourful description of tradition. We do not communicate specific health benefits of Ashwagandha, because food and supplement law does not allow it. We can talk about tradition, the plant's origin and how the extract is prepared. The rest does not belong to the language of a food supplement.
Cultural context, not a scientific claim or promise of effect.

Yes, in a small amount: food-grade ethanol at a concentration of no more than 22% acts as a natural carrier and preservative for the extract, a standard solution in herbal extracts in drop form. At a serving of a few to a dozen or so drops, the amount of pure alcohol is trace, but if you consciously avoid it, keep that in mind.
Yes, these are separate products from different traditions (Ayurvedic and Chinese) that you can use alongside each other, each according to its own label and suggested serving. We do not sell them as a ready-made combined blend.
A food supplement does not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. This product is not a medicinal product. Do not exceed the recommended daily serving. Not for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or by children. If in doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
